Job summary

JaJa Finance Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Senior Manager, Collections & Recoveries to lead our in-house operations and third-party partnerships. You will drive customer outcomes while ensuring regime compliance and strong governance in a hybrid setting.

The role requires hands-on leadership, expertise in UK consumer credit regulation, and a passion for data-driven improvements across digital and self-service channels to reduce delinquency and improve recovery results.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading UK consumer credit collections operations (cards/unsecured lending).
• Deep knowledge of UK consumer credit rules: CONC7, FCA consumer duty, vulnerable customers guidance.
• Strong data, digital and automation literacy to improve customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Collections & Recoveries both in-house and with partner vendors, with clear KPIs and risk controls.
• Shape a digital‑first contact strategy across in‑app, self‑service, messaging, email, SMS and voice.
• Identify and adopt automation/AI tools with proper human oversight and controls.
• Own collections policies and ensure fair, sustainable forbearance and support.
• Ensure compliance with CONC, FCA rules, Consumer Duty, and regulatory reporting.
• Build and coach a hybrid team, supporting wellbeing and inclusive culture.
