Job summary

Crcevans is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead direct procurement within Coating, combining hands-on sourcing with category ownership. You will drive RFQs, supplier negotiations and cost optimisations while engaging Engineering and Project teams to align requirements with commercial goals.

The role demands robust experience in high-value procurement, strong supplier relationship management and a proactive approach to cross-functional delivery across manufacturing and engineering environments.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English language.
• CIPS Level 4+ qualification or an equivalent substantial procurement credential.
• Further professional procurement or commercial qualifications.
• Relevant technical, engineering or manufacturing qualification.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage high-value, complex procurement categories.
• Lead RFQs and tenders from requirement through evaluation and award.
• Negotiate terms, Incoterms, lead times and payment terms with suppliers.
• Provide technical and commercial procurement support to Engineering teams.
• Develop and improve procurement processes and governance across the function.
