Job summary

Carrot Recruitment is supporting a global healthcare outcomes consultancy to appoint a Senior Researcher focused on Patient-Centred Outcomes (COA/PRO). The role blends hybrid/flexible/remote working with exposure to diverse clinical research programmes and client contact.

The successful candidate will lead projects from planning through delivery, oversee qualitative and quantitative studies with patients and clinicians, and contribute to strategy, proposals and scientific dissemination.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–6+ years’ relevant research experience, depending on level
• Strong qualitative research experience involving patients, caregivers and/or clinicians
• Experience of PROs and/or other Clinical Outcome Assessments
• Experience independently leading research projects
• Confidence managing pharmaceutical/life sciences clients
• Strong project management and scientific communication skills
• A relevant academic background such as psychology, health psychology, psychological research methods, sociology, life sciences or a related discipline

Responsibilities

• Leading qualitative and quantitative patient-centred outcomes research projects
• Designing and conducting qualitative research with patients, caregivers and/or clinicians
• Supporting the development, selection and validation of PROs and other COAs
• Managing day-to-day client relationships and contributing to strategic discussions
• Managing project timelines, budgets and deliverables
• Reviewing scientific outputs and ensuring consistently high-quality work
• Leading and mentoring junior researchers within project teams
• Contributing to proposals, new business opportunities and scientific dissemination
