Job summary

Terry Parris Associates located near Hailsham in East Sussex is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator (Turner) for a full-time, permanent role in a high-precision engineering environment. You will set and run CNC lathes, adjust programs, and ensure on-time delivery of complex turned components in a modern facility.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, GD&T, ISO programming, and working with various machine controls to maintain quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in CNC turning and machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Familiar with ISO programming and machine controls.

Responsibilities

• Set and run proven/unproven CNC lathe programs, adjusting coordinates and correcting errors.
• Produce accurate first-off parts to specification.
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot potential machining issues.
• Work across different machines as required.
• Support training and continuous improvement initiatives.
