Job summary

212 Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our established client’s team in the UK. You will program, set and operate modern turning centres to produce precision components and ensure tight tolerances are met.

You will read detailed drawings, select tooling and inspection methods, and work closely with the production team to maintain quality and efficiency. 39 hours per week, with a Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30 and Friday 08:00-15:30 schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC turning experience (programming essential)
• Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls beneficial
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
• Creating and modifying programmes (Fanuc & Heidenhain advantageous)
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Selecting tooling, workholding and machining methods
• Performing first-off and in-process inspections
• Ensuring components meet strict tolerance and quality requirements
• Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient work area
• Working collaboratively with the wider production team
