MERITUS is recruiting a CNC Turner Setter Operator for a permanent role in Basildon, Essex. You will set, operate and online programme Doosan and Haas CNC lathes to produce precision components to engineering drawings.

The role involves preparing machines, tooling, and fixtures, programming at the machine, monitoring tool wear and surface finish, and ensuring quality throughout production.

Qualifications

• Experience setting, operating and online programming CNC lathes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and setting instructions.
• Knowledge of quality standards in precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and online programme Doosan and Haas CNC lathes.
• Create, edit and adjust CNC programmes at the machine.
• Check components to ensure they meet drawing and quality requirements.
