Job summary

PDQ Engineering Recruitment & Training Services Ltd seeks an experienced CNC Turner to operate and set turning centres. You will work from prepared process sheets, interpret drawings, and adjust programmes when required using Mazatrol/Hurco where applicable.

The role demands accuracy under pressure, solid understanding of speeds/feeds, and the ability to prioritise tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• CNC turning experience on 2-axis turning centres.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls; Mazatrol or conversational knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to set and prove tooling and edit simple programmes.
• Able to work accurately under pressure and meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning centres.
• Occasional editing of programmes.
• Using conversational systems Mazatrol and Hurco where training is available.
• Ensuring programmes run correctly and efficiently.
• Observing health and safety rules and general duties to keep section running smoothly.
