Job summary

Kinetic Plc in East Lancashire is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to join a precision engineering operation with a strong technical reputation. You will set and program 4- and 5-axis machining centres, create/edit FANUC programmes, and offline-program using CAPT CAD/CAM or OneCNC, while interpreting drawings and selecting tooling to achieve high accuracy on exotic materials.

Qualifications

Experience programming and setting 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
Creating, editing and understanding FANUC CNC programmes.
Producing programmes offline using CAPT CAD/CAM or OneCNC.
Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Selecting and establishing appropriate cutting tools and tooling requirements.
Using a range of precision measuring and inspection equipment.
Machining exotic/specialist materials.
Working to high levels of accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

Set and program CNC machining centres, ensuring tooling, programmes and machining processes are correctly established to achieve the required standards.
Work with FANUC programmes and ensure offline programming capabilities.
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to drive production.
Select and establish cutting tools and tooling requirements.
Utilise precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify parts.
