Optima UK Inc. in Rugby is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join its precision engineering team.

You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components from detailed drawings and customer specs, with strong G-code proficiency and familiarity with Fanuc controls. The role covers programming directly at the machine, programming 4-axis parts, and running from setup to finish.

Formación

• 10+ years' experience in CNC milling.
• Strong CNC programming, setting and operating experience.
• Proven experience writing and editing CNC programmes.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Experience using Mill+.
• Previous experience with 4-axis machining.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Creating, editing and optimising CNC programmes.
• Working confidently with G-code based controls.
• Programming directly at the machine where required.
• Working with Fanuc controls and Mill+.

• Setting and running jobs from initial setup to completion.
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies.
• Producing components to tight tolerances and specified quality standards.
• Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks.
• Identifying and resolving machining or programming issues.
• Making programme adjustments to optimise machining processes.
• Working independently and taking ownership of assigned work.
