Job summary

Optima UK Inc. in Rugby is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join its precision engineering team.

You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components from detailed drawings and customer specs, with strong G-code proficiency and familiarity with Fanuc controls. The role covers programming directly at the machine, programming 4-axis parts, and running from setup to finish.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in CNC milling.
• Strong CNC programming, setting and operating experience.
• Proven experience writing and editing CNC programmes.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Experience using Mill+.
• Previous experience with 4-axis machining.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

The Role

As a CNC Miller Programmer, your responsibilities will include:
