Job summary

212 Recruitment are recruiting an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to join a leading manufacturer of precision components in the Dudley area. The role covers setting, programming and operating twin‑spindle and multi‑bar lathes to meet strict engineering specifications.

You will programme using G-code, set tools, check components with precision instruments and contribute to continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ CNC machining experience in turning/lathe environments.
• Proven ability to meet production targets while maintaining quality.
• Apprenticeship, vocational training or formal CNC qualification preferred.
• Ongoing training provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes, load materials, secure workpieces and install tooling/fixtures.
• Programme, set and operate CNC lathes using G-code; optimise processes.
• Inspect components with micrometers, verniers and gauges; support CMM inspection.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and quality teams.
• Follow ISO and internal quality procedures; maintain accurate records.
