Job summary

Adecco is seeking a skilled CNC Setter / Operator / Programmer in Dudley to set up, operate and program CNC lathes for precision components. You will ensure safety, quality and production targets are met while working with production and quality teams.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, tooling changes, offsets, measurement with micrometers and gauges, and performing quality checks. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to health and safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and programme CNC lathes, including twin spindle and bar-fed machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out tooling changes, offsets and machine adjustments.
• Inspect components using micrometers, Verniers, gauges and other measuring equipment.
• Complete quality checks and maintain production records.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement activities.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements.
• Adhere to all health, safety and quality procedures.
