Job summary

Gerrell & Hard Ltd. in Abingdon is seeking a Metrologist / CMM Programmer to join a precision engineering team. You will program and operate CMMs, develop inspection processes and support product development from prototype to final QC.

You'll work with Hexagon/PC-DMIS and Renishaw MODUS, adhere to GD&T and accuracy standards, and contribute to continuous improvement within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' CMM programming experience.
• Experience with PC-DMIS and/or MODUS.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMM equipment (Hexagon/PC-DMIS and Renishaw Agility/MODUS).
• Develop and improve CMM inspection processes.
• Support engineering teams throughout product development.
• Manage calibration activities and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Share knowledge and drive continuous improvement within the metrology team.
