Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on CMM specialist to develop and validate robust CMM programmes, interpret complex engineering drawings and drive metrology improvements across the site.

You will mentor inspectors, work with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and Inspection teams, and lead Gauge R&R/MSA activities while maintaining compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CMM programming and validation experience required.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience conducting Gauge R&R/MSA studies in a regulated environment.
• A proven track record in metrology or quality improvement.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Metrology or quality-related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop CMM inspection programmes.
• Review, validate and approve CMM programmes.
• Design and implement fixture solutions for repeatable inspection.
• Manage validation activities across multiple components.
• Conduct Gauge R&R and MSA studies and analyse results.
• Support APQP and PPAP inspection deliverables.
• Provide technical expertise on inspection methods and measurement strategies.
• Support root cause investigations related to CMM and inspection issues.
• Mentor and coach CMM and Inspection personnel.
• Review and update local inspection procedures and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement within metrology and inspection functions.
