Job summary
WLD Recruitment is seeking a CMM Inspector / CMM Programmer for a permanent, on-site role in Haydock. You will operate and program CMMs, using PC-DMIS and Mitutoyo MCOSMOS to produce and modify inspection programmes, read drawings with GD&T, and generate detailed quality documents.
The position includes a 39-hour week, day shift, and attractive salary with overtime progression. Prior precision engineering exposure and experience with high-tolerance components are essential.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CMM Inspector, CMM Programmer or Quality Inspector.
- Experience operating and ideally programming CMM equipment.
- Knowledge of PC-DMIS and/or Mitutoyo MCOSMOS software would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
- Confident using conventional measuring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Working with PC-DMIS and Mitutoyo MCOSMOS software.
- Producing, editing and modifying CMM inspection programmes.
- Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Inspecting precision-machined components to tight tolerances.
- Producing detailed inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Using conventional measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and height gauges.
- Identifying non-conformances and supporting continuous improvement.
