Job summary

Ricardo, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a CMM Programmer to ensure precision in manufactured components by programming and operating Mitutoyo CMMs, supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement.

You will develop and maintain CMM programs (MCOSMOS, CAT1000) from 3D models and 2D drawings, interpret GD&T, inspect first articles and in-process parts, and collaborate with engineering and production to uphold ISO 9001 standards and drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CMM Programmer in manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Mcosmos CMM programming software.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineers’ drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and prove out CMM programs using MCOSMOS software including CAT1000 from 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Perform dimensional inspections of components using CMM and other precision measuring tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
• Analyse inspection data and generate detailed reports for internal use and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and inspection processes.
