Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical design and operational improvements for large-scale cloud infrastructure. You will resolve complex customer issues, optimize availability and performance, and mentor team members.

The role emphasizes deep Linux expertise, scripting proficiency, and experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD). You will drive runbooks and SOPs, participate in design reviews, and help automate workloads at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux systems administration.
• Experience with a scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby or similar.
• Experience in network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)

Responsibilities

• Lead team design, scoping, and prioritization discussions.
• Drive SOP, documentation, and runbook creation, reviewing them for accuracy.
• Mentor and interview for the team and help others leverage their expertise.
• Collaborate to improve and automate team processes and services to scale operations.
