Job summary
Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen reliability, observability and operational excellence across Azure and Google Cloud Platform. You will lead a team of SREs, set engineering standards and drive improvements across cloud environments, with collaboration across product and platform teams.
The role involves shaping platform strategy, supporting hybrid working with 2 days in the office, and contributing to resilient, scalable and secure cloud platforms
Qualifications
- Designing, building or operating large-scale cloud platforms in Azure or GCP.
- SRE, Platform or Infrastructure engineering background.
- Observability, logging and distributed tracing practices.
- Incident and problem management with service reliability focus.
- SLOs, SLIs and error budgets in practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Site Reliability Engineers.
- Partner with product and platform teams to balance reliability and feature delivery.
- Use observability data and metrics to identify improvements.
- Lead incident and problem management activities.
- Champion SRE practices including SLOs, SLIs and budgets.
- Drive automation to reduce manual effort.
- Contribute to platform standards and cloud strategy.
