Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group in Manchester is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help modernise our cloud platform. You will design, build, operate and improve cloud infrastructure and services in a collaborative, product-focused team.

You will work with Terraform, GitHub, Google Cloud Platform, and automation to deliver reliable, scalable solutions; participate in planning, roadmaps, and mentoring junior engineers while supporting incident response.

Qualifications

Experience designing, building or supporting cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or equivalent).
Experience with version control and collaboration tools (GitHub or similar).
Understanding of engineering practices and industry best standards.
Experience working in agile delivery environments (Scrum or Kanban).

Responsibilities

Design, develop and improve cloud infrastructure and platform services
Write, review and maintain Infrastructure as Code, ensuring security and quality standards are met
Support the operation of existing products and services, including incident response and customer requests
Develop, test and release new features and enhancements for existing platforms
Manage and track work through agreed delivery tools and processes (e.g. Jira)
Use automation and AI-enabled tooling to improve efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness
Identify opportunities to improve products, services and operational processes
Contribute to planning and roadmap activities
Mentor junior engineers and foster inclusive team culture
