Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to bolster cloud-hosted applications and services. You will join a collaborative team focused on reliability, scalability and performance of platforms, while supporting DevOps initiatives and automation.

You'll work with GCP, Terraform, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines, contributing to monitoring and observability to improve customer outcomes. This hybrid role offers cross-functional exposure within the Chief Security Office.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly GCP, or equivalent experience.
Experience using scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash to automate processes.
Understanding of DevOps and SRE practices, including continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and Terraform, source control and SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

Support the reliable functioning of cloud-hosted applications and services, identifying and resolving issues before they impact customers.
Contribute to DevOps and SRE initiatives that improve resilience, availability and efficiency.
Work with engineering teams to deploy, maintain and enhance cloud-based solutions and data pipelines.
Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
Support incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement for service reliability.
Contribute to monitoring, observability and performance capabilities using operational insights.
