Job summary

ISS STOXX is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to shape and mature global cloud platforms across GCP and AWS. You will lead architecture, automation, and platform services, enabling AI-powered applications and enterprise-scale workloads.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong experience designing and implementing cloud-native platforms on GCP and/or AWS.
• Experience building or maturing cloud landing zones and self-service platforms.
• Deep understanding of modern cloud architectures (containers, Kubernetes, serverless, APIs, networking, security).
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code, master proficiency in Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Shape architecture, evolution, and operational excellence of global cloud platforms across GCP and AWS.
• Design, build, and mature AWS landing zone capabilities with governance and automation.
• Develop platform services, CI/CD tooling, observability solutions, and automation frameworks.
• Contribute to AI transformation by building platform capabilities for AI workloads.
• Act as technical authority during incidents and guide resolution of high-impact problems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and translate concepts into reusable platform capabilities.
• Define technical direction with engineering, security, and product teams to meet business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement in reliability, observability, automation, security, and developer experience.
• Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering best practices.
