Job summary

Prolific is redefining how AI researchers access high-quality human data. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join the Platform team and help build scalable, secure cloud foundations that empower rapid deployments across internal teams.

You will manage Kubernetes clusters on GKE, implement GitOps with ArgoCD, and drive automation with Terraform and Python/TypeScript, while collaborating closely with Prolificos and maintaining strong security standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience administering large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficient with Kubernetes tooling (Helm, kustomize).
• Strong GitOps experience (ArgoCD).
• GCP services and architecture knowledge.
• GKE production cluster maintenance and optimisation.
• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
• Programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Ability to create self-serve developer solutions and docs.
• Customer empathy for internal teams (Prolificos).

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters in GKE via Terraform.
• Support SOC2, ISO-27001, Cyber Essentials compliance in cloud environments.
• Design golden paths and automation to empower self-serve development.
• Create and maintain infrastructure enabling safe, easy deployments.
• Be the technical point-of-contact for GCP and Kubernetes queries.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
