Scotia Gas Networks is seeking a Cloud Operations Manager for Portsmouth. The role focuses on owning the operational performance, availability and resilience of cloud platforms, leading incident and change management, and ensuring security and compliance across the estate.

You will lead a multidisciplinary cloud operations team, manage external partners, and drive automation and cost optimisation in a hybrid work setting. A strong background in cloud governance and ITIL practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading cloud operations in a complex enterprise.
• Practical knowledge of at least two major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce or Oracle Cloud).
• Experience in service management, incident leadership and continual service improvement.
• Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security controls, backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers, contracts and performance reviews.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to balance resilience, security, cost and delivery priorities.

Responsabilités

• Own the operational performance, availability, capacity and resilience of cloud platforms and hosted services.
• Lead cloud incident, problem, change and event management with timely restoration.
• Maintain runbooks, controls and support models aligned with ITSM and engineering practices.
• Ensure cloud environments meet security, risk, audit and data protection requirements.
• Own vulnerability management processes to protect the estate.
• Manage cloud consumption, budgets, forecasts and optimisation plans.
• Oversee service providers and suppliers, ensuring SLAs and improvements.
• Drive automation, observability and tooling to reduce manual effort and improve insight.
• Support smooth transition of new or changed cloud services into live operation.
