Job summary

VanWonen is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure, Cloud & Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT team in Norwich. This hands-on role designs, implements, secures and continually improves our Microsoft technology platforms and IT infrastructure, with 37.5 hours on site each week.

You will drive cloud adoption, cyber security maturity and infrastructure modernisation programmes, working with the Head of IT to deliver automation, governance and resilient systems across the business.

Qualifications

Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience, with at least five years in a senior technical IT role.
Experience across Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, Windows Server, VMware, PowerShell, networking, backup and disaster recovery.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale IT environments, with strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, secure and continually improve IT infrastructure and Microsoft technology platforms.
Lead technical projects, drive automation and standardisation, and act as a senior escalation point.
Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Governance, PIM, RBAC and SSO.
Manage Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint security, device compliance and configuration management.
Design, deploy and support Azure environments, including VMs, storage, networking, backup and recovery.
Lead cyber security initiatives and administer Defender, Sentinel and Purview services.
Produce technical documentation, procedures, standards and architecture designs.
Develop automation using PowerShell and Microsoft technologies to improve efficiency.
