Job summary

Bulk is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Engineer to own the infrastructure and security landscape across cloud, on‑premise, and AI tooling. You'll work with our IT Service Desk team and senior leadership to secure systems and enable fast growth.

You'll manage complex projects, upgrade email security, and drive Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 initiatives while balancing risk, resilience, and cost in a hybrid Colchester environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a similar role at 3rd Line Engineer level.
• At least one cyber security certification.
• Hands-on experience across ~80% of listed technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage bulk on-premise and cloud infrastructure (Azure, Google Workspace, networks, firewalls, VPNs).
• Ensure security, reliability, resilience and updates.
• Lead infrastructure projects including budgets and contracts.
• Provide Tier 3 support and clear technical documentation.
• Develop and improve Bulk's security environment focusing on email security.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to threats and incidents.
• Manage security technologies: SIEM, SOAR, EDR/MDR/XDR, CASB, ZTNA, SASE.
• Lead Cyber Essentials activity and ISO 27001 support.
• Oversee AI tooling security and governance.
