Job summary

Legal & General is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and evolve cloud-native platforms. You will shape technical direction, reduce complexity, and lead by example in a modern, Agile environment with a strong focus on AWS serverless technologies and MongoDB.

You will own end-to-end delivery, apply clean code practices, and drive architectural excellence while mentoring engineers across the team and advancing security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and good architectural judgment.
• Experience delivering serverless solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS).
• Deep MongoDB expertise including schema design and aggregation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of secure, scalable software end-to-end.
• Build and operate cloud-native serverless apps on AWS with performance and cost focus.
• Apply clean code and architectural best practices aligned to SSDLC and tech strategy.
