Job summary

Travelers Europe is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Software Engineering team in Redhill, Surrey. You will shape cloud architecture, drive AWS-based solutions, and mentor peers while delivering robust, scalable systems.

Based on a hybrid model, you will work three days in the Redhill office and two days remotely, collaborating with cross-functional teams on challenging projects and ensuring reliability, performance and security across our cloud native platform.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience with container platforms.
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer with proficiency in scripting languages.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure as code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CodePipeline).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology or related field; strong delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex software engineering projects across emerging technologies.
• Develop cloud-based infrastructure using AWS native services and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and drive best practices across teams.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high uptime and reliability.
• Stay current with cloud trends and DevOps practices and apply them to solutions.
