Job summary

UBDS Group is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to deliver secure, modern digital products for Government and Defence. You will design, build, test and deploy cloud-based applications in AWS, collaborating with Architects, Product, Design and QA teams.

You will develop using Python and JavaScript, work with PostgreSQL, APIs and integration patterns, and mentor other developers while contributing to engineering standards and live operations.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience in modern digital environments.
• Experience with Python and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing AWS-based applications.
• APIs design, development and integration experience.
• Secure development practices and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software solutions.
• Build cloud-based applications and services within AWS.
• Develop solutions using Python, JavaScript and SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Design, build and integrate APIs and services.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product, Design, User Research and Testing teams.
• Write clean, secure and testable code and contribute to testing throughout the lifecycle.
• Use GitHub, Docker and modern DevOps practices.
• Mentor other developers and support live operation.
