Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, provision, and operate a modern cloud data platform on AWS and Databricks. You will partner with data engineers, security, and platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready infrastructure that enables reliable analytics across the firm.

You will build automation, manage CI/CD for infra, and adopt enterprise AI-assisted development tools while maintaining strong security and governance across environments.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Strong hands-on experience provisioning AWS infrastructure with Terraform, including modules and remote state.
• Experience with Databricks and building production data workloads.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation and tooling.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices for infra and platform delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
• Manage Databricks platform capabilities including workspaces, clusters, and integrations.
• Develop automation around platform provisioning using Python or Java.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra and platform deployments.
• Implement security best practices including least-privilege access and encryption.
• Improve platform reliability with observability tooling and incident response practices.
• Translate business/technical requirements into scalable platform designs with runbooks.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality and secure coding standards.
