Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring a Software Engineer III to advance cloud-native platform infrastructure, enabling product teams to move fast and safely. You will work with senior engineers to design, build, and run secure production systems, focusing on scalable Kubernetes-based services and developer tooling.

The role emphasizes collaboration, growth, and applying security and responsible AI practices while participating in a modern incident-response culture across a large enterprise platform.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
• Hands-on software development, testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Kotlin and solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of cloud and container technologies including Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and infrastructure as code.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with careful validation of outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and participate in code reviews with mentorship.
• Design and develop infrastructure systems to support developer productivity.
• Build, operate, and maintain Kubernetes-based platform services and CI/CD workflows.
• Automate remediation of operational issues to improve platform reliability.
• Provide production support in a you-build-it-you-run-it culture, including incident response.
• Apply platform security and policy-as-code practices and expand knowledge of cloud-native tech.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools while ensuring peer review and secure coding standards.
• Advance tooling and automation within the Software Development Life Cycle to raise value.
