Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist (Band 7) to cover maternity leave in Radiotherapy Physics. This fixed-term contract runs for 12 months, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with salary up to £56,515 per annum.

You will work with a large physics team supporting imaging and radiotherapy, with opportunities to gain broad experience in brachytherapy, low-energy proton therapy, and clinical research, while maintaining professional

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge in radiation physics applied to medicine.
• Knowledge of techniques to measure performance of radiotherapy equipment.
• Evidence of CPD and developing scientific practice.
• Awareness of UK national standards and guidelines relevant to the specialist area.

Responsibilities

• Gain broad experience in radiotherapy including brachytherapy and low energy proton treatments.
• Contribute to continued service provision and development with flexible working.
• Be State Registered Clinical Scientist or expect to become registered in the near future.

Education

HCPC registered Clinical Scientist

BSc (Hons) Physics or equivalent

MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent
