Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT in Liverpool is inviting applications for a Principal Clinical Scientist (Band 8a). The role provides physics support to the radiotherapy department and related services.

The postholder will contribute to quality assurance, dosimetry, and guidance under the Radiation Services Directorate. This is a permanent full-time position with a strong link to University collaboration on MSc Clinical Science and a pathway towards Medical Physics Expert accreditation as

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Clinical Scientist is essential.
• BSc (Hons) Physics or equivalent is required.
• MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physics support to Radiotherapy and Specialised Services.
• Assist Higher Principal and Consultant Clinical Scientists in clinical service delivery.
• Demonstrate expertise as a Medical Physics Expert where applicable.
