Job summary

NHS Lothian is seeking a psychologist to contribute to development and provision of a specialist psychology service, including supervision of a team of psychologists and/or trainees and taking leadership as the Psychology representative in designated specialist areas. You will undertake psychological assessments and treatment of children and young people.

Qualifications

• Development and provision of a specialist psychology service, including supervision of a team of psychologists and/or trainees and leadership as Psychology representative in designated specialist areas.
• Undertake psychological assessments and treatment of children and young people.
• Provide clinical supervision and support in relation to the psychological assessment, therapy and management provided by trainee psychologists, multi-disciplinary clinicians and staff.
• Responsible for providing psychology teaching, training, consultancy and supervision activities within a governance structure.
• Undertake audit and research relevant to the service area.
• Responsible for the management of a highly specialist caseload.
