Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join the Neurodevelopmental Service School Team. You will conduct psychometric testing and neurodevelopmental assessments in schools, providing supervision to CAAPs and Mental Health Clinicians, and delivering teaching within professional guidelines.

The role involves autonomous clinical work with children, adolescents and families, applying evidence-based practice, and contributing to service development and research.

Qualifications

• Must hold a psychology degree with eligibility for graduate basis for registration.
• Accredited Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology required.
• Significant post-qualification experience with children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist psychological assessments and neurodevelopmental tests.
• Provide supervision to CAAPs and Mental Health Clinicians.
• Contribute to teaching and supervision of trainees and assistants.
• Engage in research, service development, audit and clinical governance.
