Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join the Pharmacy Technical Services Unit, including the Aseptic Unit, Pre-pack unit, Radiopharmacy and Cytotoxic unit. The post holder will provide support to the department, including the ordering, receipt, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals and other stocks.

You will also assist senior staff with essential support duties and work 20 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, with cross-site work, early and late

Qualifications

• Assist in aseptic production units, radiopharmacy and pre-pack units.
• Support ordering, receipt, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals and stocks.
• Assist with compounding of aseptic medicines including cytotoxics and clinical trials.
• Perform dose calculations for chemotherapy drugs and radiopharmaceuticals.

Responsabilités

• Provide support to Pharmacists and Technicians in Pharmaceutical Services.
• Maintain operator validation and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Communicate with service users to ensure timely supply of prepared products.
