Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford invites an experienced Senior Pharmacist to lead clinical pharmacy services within Cancer Services. You will partner with oncology and haematology teams to optimise medicines use and support safe systemic anti-cancer therapy.

The post requires strong leadership, governance, and training delivery, with involvement in 7-day and on-call rotas, and a commitment to professional development and cross-site collaboration within the Trust.

Qualifications

• MPharm and General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
• Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of CPD and lifelong learning.
• Independent prescribing qualification or plan within 12 months.
• Postgraduate cancer services qualifications or willingness to pursue.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the pharmacy service provided to the Cancer Services directorate.
• Work closely with consultants, lead and specialist nurses, and other staff.
• Coordinate pharmacy clinical services; monitor safety incidents and governance.
• Lead on evidence-based prescribing for safe, cost-effective medicine use.
• Lead guidelines for prescribing, administration and storage of cancer medicines.
• Provide training and education to healthcare professionals; engage with national networks.
• Support 7-day clinical services on a rota basis; role model to junior staff.
• Contribute to operational delivery of the clinical pharmacy service within the Trust.
