Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacist to lead the Cancer Services team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. You will oversee pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and technical officers delivering advanced clinical services in haematology and oncology.

The role requires leadership, extensive clinical expertise, and a commitment to research, education and improving patient care within a large regional NHS trust.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Pharmacy and GPhC registration required.
• Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy.
• Independent prescribing registration advantageous.
• Experience in hospital/pharmacy leadership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical pharmacy service to Haematology Cancer Services.
• Lead on delivery of safe, evidence-based, cost-effective medication use.
• Prescribe where scope allows and advise on inpatient/outpatient care.
• Lead on rota, governance, and research projects within Cancer Services.
• Support teaching and mentoring of junior staff and pharmacists.
• Drive service improvements and audits in line with NICE/NHS guidance.
