Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to provide senior clinical leadership for Tameside & Glossop NHS Talking Therapies. The role focuses on clinical governance, high standards of practice and staff development in evidence-based psychological therapies.

The post holder will lead, advise and supervise colleagues, contributing to service development and ensuring safe, effective care across complex clinical presentations.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of clinical leadership within psychological services.
• Advanced clinical expertise in psychological therapies.
• Ability to provide professional advice, consultation and supervision.
• Leadership in complex and sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical and professional leadership within Tameside & Glossop NHS Talking Therapies.
• Provide specialist clinical advice, consultation and professional support to colleagues.
• Provide high-level clinical and professional supervision to staff.
• Maintain clinical responsibility and autonomous practice, including complex presentations.
• Support clinical governance, risk management and high standards of professional practice.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and service leaders to deliver care.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, evaluation and audit.
• Promote effective communication across professional groups, even in complex or contentious situations.
• Promote continuing professional development and learning across the service.
• Adhere to professional standards, legislation and Pennine Care policies.
