An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior fellow at St Michael’s Hospital, with options to specialise in various areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is a 12-month fixed-term post, potentially extendable based on mutual agreement and performance. The start date is flexible, ideally in August 2025.
The hospital is part of a large teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Bristol. The post-holder will work within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, with dedicated sessions in their chosen specialty, supported by a friendly and cohesive consultant team.
Responsibilities include contributing to the full shift resident on-call rota (3rd on call), covering Obstetrics and Emergency Gynaecology. Annual and study leave are provided prospectively. The role encourages participation in educational and training activities and teaching of nurses, midwives, and junior doctors.
This position is suitable for those looking to consolidate their specialist skills before a consultant appointment. It includes regular clinical specialist sessions and MDT meetings as appropriate.
