Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an Accredited Clinical Coding Auditor to help shape the future of our Clinical Coding service as we move towards a new EPR system and embrace more digital and agile ways of working.

As a senior member, you will lead with strong communication, mentor trainees, monitor quality indicators, and support strategic plans; there is flexible working that could include three days from home, discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical coding auditing and data quality improvement.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to mentor trainees and work within a clinical coding team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor key performance and quality indicators for the coding team.
• Perform internal coding audits and identify variances against benchmarks.
• Support Head of Clinical Coding in strategic planning and service development.
• Provide mentorship to trainee coders within the department’s quality framework.
• Participate in external exchange audits with other Trusts.
