Responsibilities

• Abstract and analyse complex clinical information from patient notes and other sources.
• Translate information into ICD-10 and OPCS-4 codes to create HRGs.
• Follow ICD10/OPCS-4 rules and update manuals as needed.
• Ensure coded information reflects full extent of diagnoses and procedures.
• Attend training and participate in audits; mentor junior coders.
