Job summary

Supercritical is seeking a Climate Advisory professional to lead defined-scope engagements and deliver high-integrity carbon removal portfolios for major buyers. You will shape scope, drive delivery to timeline and budget, and present findings to senior stakeholders.

You will collaborate with the Director of Climate Science and Policy on large engagements, becoming the in-house expert on policy, standards, and market landscapes.

Qualifications

• MSc or higher in chemical engineering, environmental science or relevant natural sciences; OR BEng/BSc with relevant work experience (e.g., 5+ years).
• Expertise in carbon dioxide removal (CDR), including multiple engineered CDR pathways (e.g., biochar, BECCS, mineralisation, ERW, DACCS).
• Demonstrable experience delivering client-facing consulting, advisory or commissioned research projects with a defined deliverable.

Responsibilities

• Lead defined-scope client engagements end to end: shaping scope, proposals, delivery to timeline and budget, presenting findings.
• Work with Director on largest engagements, eventually leading large engagements yourself.
• Become go-to expert on policy and standards landscape for corporate buyers (SBTi, GHG Protocol, EU/UK ETS, etc.).
• Produce written deliverables: assessment reports, strategy documents, portfolio/price models, board-ready summaries.
