Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Commercial / PMO (Client Side) specialist to provide commercial assurance for capital programmes. The role focuses on Line of Defence 2 duties to manage cost and programme risk and opportunities.

You will reinforce the client-side team, coordinate with LoD processes and oversee billing, payments, and change control, while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring robust reporting across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in high value civil engineering, building, M&E, rail or general construction and/or infrastructure projects.
• Management and reporting of Client expectations and deliverables.
• Minimum of 5 years NEC experience and ability to manage change control and related processes.
• Experience with post-contract commercial services including reporting, payment, variations, claims management and final account settlement.
• BA Hons / BSc degree in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying (or similar).
• Chartered membership to an accredited body (CICES / RICS / CIArb or equivalent) or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce the Commercial (Client Side) Team in the effective management of time, cost and quality with all Client processes.
• Collaborate with LoD teams to validate compliance and mitigation actions.
• Coach and mentor junior members of the Systra Commercial Team.
• EVM and EAC alignment / detailing.
• Manage client and supply chain risk and contract correspondence.
• Identify emerging risks / issues and support in dispute resolution.
