Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a lead for the Commercial/PMO (Client Side) team to provide commercial assurance across capital programmes. You will oversee cost, time and quality management, lead a high-performing team, and ensure compliance with Client processes while mitigating risk and maximising value.

With 7+ years NEC experience and professional membership, you will drive reporting, change control, and stakeholder engagement across multiple projects in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in high value civil engineering, building, M&E, rail or general construction and/or infrastructure projects (preferably Client-side)
• Management and reporting of Client expectations and deliverables
• Minimum of 7 years NEC experience and ability to demonstrate change control and related processes
• Expertise in post-contract commercial services including reporting, payment, variations and final account settlement
• Professional qualification and membership with an accredited body (CICES/RICS/CIArb)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the SYSTRA Commercial (Client Side) team to manage time, cost and quality from planning through to programme closeout
• Create and maintain a diverse, high-performing team environment
• Provide proactive commercial leadership ensuring timely reporting and contract deliverables
• Lead to minimise Client risk and maximise Client value
• Ensure compliance with Client processes and LoD reviews, and coach junior team members
• Manage EVM and EAC alignment/testing and risk assessments
• Prepare and manage Client commercial correspondence and contractual notices
• Identify risks/issues and support in disputes with Client requirements
• Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain team members while maintaining engagement
• Communicate updates and strategic objectives to the team clearly and promptly
