Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Commercial / PMO (Client Side) lead to drive time, cost and quality across a capital programme. You will chair the commercial assurance function, align with Line of Defence processes and coordinate with Supply Chain and clients to protect value.

You will mentor junior staff, oversee monthly billing, variations, claims management and final account settlement, and ensure compliance with client processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in high value civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 7 years NEC experience and change control management.
• Post-contract commercial services: reporting, payment, variations, claims, final accounts.
• BA/BS in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying; chartered membership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Client-side Commercial/PMO team to manage time, cost and quality through programme life cycle.
• Provide proactive commercial leadership and ensure timely reporting and contract deliverables.
• Minimise client risk and maximise value while aligning with LoD processes.
• Oversee commercial correspondence, notices, changes, and supplier communications.
• Identify risks/issues and support in disputes with clients and supply chain.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and align with SYSTRA behavior framework.
