The ideal candidate will have a background in investment management or a similar relevant field. Prior knowledge of private markets is preferred but not essential.

As part of the role, you will work closely with senior members of the team to provide support to the ongoing maintenance of existing client relationships, and in driving new business across institutional investors and investment consultants. The role will include preparing client presentations, thoughtful client pitches, and responding to ad-hoc investor queries. Additionally, you will be involved in ongoing deliverables, market intelligence and research to support the growth of the business.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the financial services industry, ideally gained within private markets, but candidates with experience in asset/fund management or investment banking/consulting will be considered.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Independently support senior team members with preparation for client meetings and detailed due diligence sessions. This includes compiling convincing bespoke marketing presentations and investment proposals, as well as the coordination of internal parties to deliver customized content.
  • Execute timely preparation and follow up for client meetings and calls with approved marketing collateral.
  • Creating tailored, persuasive and high-quality responses to client requests, assisting with queries, and performance updates.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for the client by coordinating and liaising with various teams and specialists within the firm.
  • Build professional and technical knowledge to streamline and accelerate workflows.
  • Coordinate the whole process related to, as well as provide convincing and well-justified inputs to requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Supporting the onboarding process for clients, involving liaising with both internal and external counterparties.
  • Become an expert in private markets and Partners Group's platform, products and investment strategies across asset classes.

What we expect

  • Bachelor's degree and strong academic background required.
  • Relevant working experience (this will likely be at least 3-5 years).
  • A team player who is regarded as a high-performing and driven individual.
  • Ideally experience in consulting, asset management, private equity, investment banking or a related sector in financial services.
  • Evidence of further academic training post-bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential (e.g. CFA, IMC, CAIA, ACA or actuarial/legal).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and ability to drive different processes at the same time.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn and succeed.
  • Ability to problem solve with a client-focused mindset within challenging deadlines.
  • Willingness to take ownership and responsibility.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
