Job summary

Michael Page in Bolton is seeking a Client Manager to oversee a portfolio of established clients, lead the accounts team, and drive the modernisation of the practice. You will manage from planning through delivery, including statutory and management accounts, tax computations, and VAT, while mentoring junior staff and expanding advisory opportunities.

The role requires ACCA/ACA qualification with strong tax and accounts experience, excellent communication, and a proactive leadership style.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA qualified with general practice experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service and business advice for a portfolio of clients.
• Lead and develop the accounts team and oversee delivery from planning to final client delivery.
• Support with complex client accounting matters and tax computations including VAT.
• Lead on project management and process improvements across the practice.
• Onboard new clients and identify growth opportunities within the practice.
• Attend and conduct client meetings as required.
