Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is hiring in Bolton for a client manager to lead a portfolio of established clients. You will develop the accounts team, deliver statutory and management accounts, and advise on tax matters while modernising the practice.

Minimum ACCA/ACA with general practice experience is required. The role emphasizes client relationships, technical accounting knowledge, and the opportunity to drive advisory services within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum ACCA/ACA qualification with general practice experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in accounts preparation and taxation.
• Good understanding of personal tax.
• FRS 102 reporting standards knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and ability to manage staff and review work.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Commercial mindset and proactive approach.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Experience with cloud accounting (Xero) and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of well-established clients from planning to delivery.
• Provide statutory and management accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns.
• Lead and develop the accounts team, ensuring high service standards.
• Identify advisory opportunities and support business development.
• Ensure compliance delivery and monitor deadlines across client work.
