Job summary

Stantec in the North West is seeking a Senior Process Engineer – Clean Water to join our Warrington or Manchester offices. You will lead process engineering for a varied Clean Water portfolio, taking designs from feasibility through delivery while collaborating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.

You’ll develop treatment solutions, review calculations and reports, mentor engineers and help strengthen Stantec’s process capability across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng or IEng) with a relevant professional institution, or actively working towards professional registration.
• Experience delivering process engineering design for Clean Water projects.
• Good understanding of water treatment processes and engineering principles.
• Experience preparing process calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
• Ability to manage technical tasks and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of UK water industry standards and design requirements.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver process engineering solutions across a varied Clean Water portfolio.
• Apply your technical expertise to treatment challenges from early design through to project delivery.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Support the development of technical capability within a growing regional business.
• Coordinate design inputs with project managers and engineers to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to technical proposals and wider business opportunities.
