Job summary

Intact Insurance is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our Marine Claims team on a hybrid basis from London or Manchester, with a London preference. The role focuses on managing high-profile London Market Cargo claims and leading complex settlements.

You will provide expert guidance on referrals, claims and complaints, ensuring timely resolution within delegated authority. You will also analyse complex scenarios, identify key issues, and drive spend management while mentoring team members

Qualifications

• Ample experience handling marine claims within an insurer, syndicate, broker or equivalent environment.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex marine cargo claims in a lead handling capacity.
• Broader marine claims experience, including Freight Liability, Hull, Marine Liabilities and Subrogation, is highly desirable.
• Experience negotiating with senior stakeholders across the London Market, including brokers, clients, legal representatives and service providers.
• Demonstrable experience coaching, mentoring or developing technical capability within claims teams.
• Effective decision maker and comfortable making decisions in an ambiguous working environment.
